MV Monsoon is based out of Port Douglas, the closest port to the magnificent Great Barrier Reef with pristine locations such as the famous Outer Ribbon Reefs. Commissioned in 2009, MV Monsoon is modern and comfortable with a choice of spacious areas to enjoy on your Coral Sea odyssey.

Our skipper has a wealth of local knowledge that guarantees the best possible sites on the day of your private charter.
The experienced crew pamper you with friendly personal service as you cruise superb reefs, explore isolated sand cays, dive and snorkel in the warm tropical waters.

Beyond the stylish comfort aboard, cruising is ideal for keen fishermen wanting to wet a line as well as those wanting to explore the abundant marine life and underwater seascapes. Whales are also present in the area during winter months.

After your snorkel, relax with a beverage as the skipper dons his chefs apron to prepare a delicious BBQ lunch served alfresco on the upper dining deck. A selection of fresh salads & condiments with a distinctly tropical flavour, provide the perfect accompaniment. All meals and freshly prepared day snacks served aboard, include complimentary beverages.

Visiting some of the most spectacular reef formations in Tropical North Queensland, a day charter aboard MV Monsoon provides many
memorable experiences. Drift over immense ‘Bommies’ ~ home to hundreds of colourful reef fish species and vast gardens of soft and hard
coral, part of the largest underwater marine ecosystem on Earth. Swim with turtles, keep a keen watch for pods of playful dolphins and if
fortunate enough, marvel at the sight of migrating Minke and Humpback Whales that traverse these tropical waters during our winter months.

MV Monsoon is a luxuriously appointed motor vessel catering for a maximum of 10 passengers. We offer exclusivity in numbers and the
selected sites we visit on the Great Barrier Reef. The vessel departs from Closehaven Marina, Port Douglas at 8.30am ~ returning at 4.15pm
approximately and can be tailored to suit your individual requirements.
