Ready for a Wind Swell adventure?

Escape the crowds and discover one of Tropical North Queensland’s most magical hidden gems on our Daintree Rainforest River SUP Tour. Float down the Mossman river through the oldest surviving tropical rainforest in the world surrounded by lush greenery, towering mountains and the most pristine freshwater environments in Australia.

Your guide will give a full safety briefing and demo on arrival, before floating down the crystal clear freshwater flowing down from the Mossman Gorge. Along the way you’ll be introduced to a range of native flora and fauna that exists in the wet tropics as you zen-out to the gentle buzzing of the rainforest. As you glide gently downstream, you’ll be immersed in the beauty of Kuku Yalanji Country, spotting tropical fish, turtles, butterflies and native birdlife along the way. Unlike traditional rainforest tours, this experience allows you to connect with the landscape from the water, moving quietly through the environment without leaving a footprint behind.

Along the journey we’ll stop at secluded river beaches where you can step ashore, take in the incredible rainforest surroundings and truly appreciate the tranquillity of this special place. There will be time for a refreshing swim in the cool water and the opportunity to experience a traditional natural body scrub using ochre found along the riverbanks, a unique way to connect with the landscape and cleanse both body and mind. After working up an appetite, we’ll enjoy a delicious tropical fruit platter featuring fresh seasonal fruit while relaxing riverside beneath the rainforest canopy.

Throughout the tour, your guide will share local stories, fascinating insights into the rainforest ecosystem, Indigenous culture, native wildlife and the unique history of this remarkable region. As the adventure continues, it’s time for our famous “Extreme Lay-Down Paddle Boarding.” Simply lie back on your board, soak up the scenery and drift effortlessly downstream as the gentle current carries you through this ancient rainforest paradise. It’s the ultimate way to unwind and experience the peaceful beauty of the Mossman river.

Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly adventure, a romantic nature escape, a unique Port Douglas experience or simply a chance to slow down and reconnect with nature, our Rainforest SUP Tour delivers an unforgettable day on the water.
