Talk a walk on the wild side… with Wind Swell, it’s like bushwalking but without leaving footprints when you jump on board our Rainforest River Magic Stand-up Paddle Tour. Learn the tricks to walking on water, plunge into the refreshing crystal clear river, taste exotic fruits that the wet tropics has to offer, swing in the jungle as you take to the rope swing, indulge in the river’s natural day spa, and be introduced to the native flora and fauna that makes up the World Heritage Daintree Rainforest. The dreamy downstream drift at the end lets you lay back, relax and go with the flow while gazing up at the canopy patterns and taking in the sounds of the rainforest.
If you’ve never had the chance to Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) before, no worries! Wind Swell will get you up and going in no time. The rainforest river is a gentle experience, so you’re in a great place to learn how to control your paddleboard while you’re looking for wildlife. Your Wind Swell guides will make sure you’re having a safe and enjoyable experience. They’ll confirm with you ahead of time how the water conditions are looking.

Unique, captivating and nature rich. Immersed under a secluded ancient rainforest canopy, our fun Mossman River SUP tour will cradle you in mother nature as you paddle upstream through the World Heritage Listed Daintree Rainforest. This low impact adventure will energize the body with a gentle, full-body workout as you explore the rich, tranquil surroundings teeming with life.
Your guide will give a full safety briefing and demo on arrival, before traversing through the crystalline freshwaters that flow down from the Mossman Gorge. Along the way you’ll be introduced to a range of native flora and fauna that exists in the wet tropics as you zen-out to the gentle buzzing of the rainforest.
Before taking to the rope swing as a Tarzan dare-devil, our experienced instructors may encourage you to take your SUP skills to the next level with some tricks, manoeuvres and on-board yoga that will help with your stability, confidence and okay maaayy get you falling in to cool off! This is by far the easiest but funnest part of the tour; we like to say “if you’re not falling in, you’re not trying hard enough”
We will stop at beaches along the way for you to relax and look up at the greenery that surrounds you. There will be time to take a refreshing dip in the ‘healing’ river waters of Kuku Yalanji country and cleanse yourself in a natural body scrub using ochre found on the banks, before tucking into a tropical fruit buffet.
Your tour finishes with some ‘extreme lay-down paddle boarding’ – where you literally just lay back, relax and go with the flow during your dreamy drift downstream.
