As part of the Undine and Mackay Reefs, Undine and Mackay Coral Cays are tiny, powder-soft, white-sand islands that poke out from the Coral Sea. The cays are fringed in reef systems with clear turquoise waters – we’re always blown away when we visit this place. Undine and Mackay Coral Cays are parallel to the Cape Tribulation National Park, in the outer reef of the Great Barrier Reef.
Both cays are best enjoyed under water as they are abundant in marine life, including turtles, starfish and giant clam gardens. But when the wind is up and conditions are right, these are one of the best secret kitesurfing spots of Far North Queensland.
